New Music Editions June 2025
Share
We have been working hard over the past few months preparing three new music editions from some of our most important composers. Each of these editions is available in print and digital versions.
The next instalment of Vincent Ho’s The Twelve Chinese Zodiac Animals – presented as twelve preludes and fugues – is published in two volumes. The first volume (PE216) is now available with preludes and fugues for the first six animals. This will undoubtedly be a joy for pianists familiar with his first book (PE212).
Also new is the next volume in our Douglas Lilburn string music collection. Written in 1940, Suite for Strings (PEL29S) complements Lilburn’s later works for string orchestra that would seal Lilburn’s future as the foremost New Zealand composer of his generation.
Finally, we are pleased to release the score of John Psathas’ Zahara (PE070S). Zahara is Psathas’ second concerto for saxophone and orchestra and was written for Federico Mondelci, a leading exponent of contemporary saxophone repertoire.
We are also thrilled to let you know about the next several editions planned for the coming months.
We are working on the second volume of Vincent Ho’s The Twelve Chinese Zodiac Animals (PE217), fine-tuning a special collection of Douglas Lilburn’s Christmas piano music (PEL10) and Gareth Farr’s captivating work Unforeseen Evolutions (PE080) for violin and piano. By year’s end, we will have completed Anthony Ritchie’s Symphony No.6 (UME20S) and a surprise new addition to our Vaughan Williams special collection.
